Feedback Board

Last updated on March 24, 2026

The Feedback Board is your centralized hub to manage user feature requests and bug reports. From this page, you can track community upvotes, update the progress of requests, and fully white-label your public board with a custom domain and SEO settings.

Key Features

  • Public Board Access: Instantly view your live, public-facing feedback portal.
  • Custom Domain Hosting (Premium): Connect your own domain (e.g., feedback.yourdomain.com) to host your board entirely under your brand.
  • SEO & Discoverability (Premium): Access dynamic XML sitemaps to help search engines discover and index your feedback board.
  • Feedback Management: View user submissions, track vote counts, update statuses, and delete irrelevant posts.

How to Use

Managing Feedback Posts

As users submit feature requests or bug reports, they will populate in the Feedback Posts table at the bottom of the page.

  1. Review Submissions: You can see the title of the post, the author's name or email, and the total number of upvotes it has received.
  2. Update Status: Use the dropdown menu in the "Status" column to keep your users informed. Available statuses are:
    • Open: The request is new or under review.
    • Planned: You intend to build or fix this.
    • In Progress: Your team is currently working on it.
    • Completed: The feature is live or the bug is fixed.
  3. Delete Posts: Click the red "Delete" button to permanently remove a post from your board (a confirmation prompt will appear).

Connecting a Custom Domain (Premium)

To host your feedback board on your own domain:

  1. Click the Domain toggle at the top of the page.
  2. Enter your desired custom domain (e.g., feedback.yourdomain.com) into the input field and click Set Domain.
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to configure your DNS provider. You will typically need to create a CNAME record pointing your host to the secure Apoyo target provided in the dashboard.
  4. Click Verify DNS Setup. If your domain requires additional ownership verification, you will be prompted to add specific TXT records to your DNS provider.
  5. While waiting for the custom domain to propagate, your board remains accessible at your default feedback.heyapoyo.com URL.

Setting Up SEO (Premium)

If you want your feature requests to be discoverable on Google:

  1. Ensure you have successfully connected a Custom Domain.
  2. Click the SEO toggle at the top of the page.
  3. Copy the Dynamic XML Sitemap URL provided.
  4. Submit this URL to Google Search Console to help search engines crawl and quickly index your feedback board.

Important Notes & Pro Tips

  • Premium Requirement: Custom domains and SEO indexing features are only available on the Premium plan.
  • DNS Propagation Time: DNS changes and SSL certificate provisioning can take up to 48 hours to propagate globally across all networks. Please be patient while the global registry updates.
  • Verification Challenges: If you are moving a domain from another Vercel account, you may see a "Verification Required" status with specific TXT records. Add these exactly as shown, verify, and then you may safely remove the TXT records.
  • Dynamic Sitemaps: Your sitemap automatically updates whenever new posts are added, changed, or removed, ensuring search engines always have your latest content.
