Triggers
The Triggers page allows you to automatically pop open the chat widget and send a customized welcome message when a user spends a specific amount of time on a certain page.

- URL Path Matching: Target specific pages on your website (e.g., your pricing page).
- Custom Delays: Set exactly how many seconds a user must be on the page before the widget opens.
- Targeted Messaging: Define the exact initial message the bot sends to engage the visitor.
- Trigger Management: View and remove active triggers easily from a centralized list.
How to Use
Adding a Proactive Trigger
To create a new automated message:
- Locate the form at the top of the page.
- Enter the URL Path Match. You can use a relative path (e.g.,
/pricing) or a full URL (e.g.,https://yourwebsite.com/pricing). - Set the Delay (Secs). This is the number of seconds the user must spend on that specific page before the chat automatically opens.
- Type your Initial Message in the text area (e.g., "Need help picking a plan?").
- Click the black Add Trigger button.
Managing Active Triggers
Your running automations are displayed in the Active Triggers list at the bottom of the page.
- Each block summarizes the rule: showing the URL condition, the delay time, and the message it sends.
- To delete a trigger and stop it from running on your website, click the red Remove button on the right side of the specific trigger block.
Important Notes (or Pro Tips)
- Permissions: Only workspace owners can create or remove proactive triggers. If you are logged in as an agent, the form to add triggers and the buttons to remove them will be hidden.
- Required Fields: You must fill out the URL path, delay, and message fields to successfully save a new trigger.
